Year One: A Retrospective

September 1, 2010

Tomorrow marks the one year anniversary of my foray into the blogosphere. I have learned so much during the process, not the least of which is the amount of time required to generate a substantive blog with a decent following. Over the last few months my time has dwindled a bit as I have moved to a new city, taken a new position, and have been inundated with lots of new responsibilities.

At the time of writing this post, I have generated 104 posts related to at least 135 different subjects. There have been 12,843 hits on my blog over the last 364 days. That’s not nearly as many as some of the other bloggers out there but that’s respectable enough for my first year.

All in all, the 2009 – 2010 academic year was a fruitful and productive one, both for my young blog and for my career. Here’s hoping that 2010-2011 holds even better prospects for both.

Thanks to those who have read and commented this year! Please don’t go away.
